The Burgundy region possesses a vast and rich cultural heritage, both historical and prehistoric.
Many excursion and tours are on offer, including the following:
- Tour of the Cluny Abbey (buildings dating from the 10th to 15th centuries, 12 km from Igé), the national stud farm, the mediaeval town itself.
- Tour of the Romanesque abbey-church Saint Philibert in Tournus (11th and 12th centuries, 25 km), and the Hôtel-Dieu.
- Tour of the Romanesque churches of the Mâconnais (10th, 11th, 12th and 13th centuries, within a radius of 25 km from Igé) and the Charollais-Brionnais area (60 km). There are 250 Romanesque churches in the Saône et Loire department.
- Tour of the Château of Cormatin (17th century, 25 km), Drée (17th and 18th centuries, 57 km) and La Ferté (18th century, 50 km).
- Tour of the Solutré site (20,000 to 16,000 BCE, 15 km), its museum and the prehistoric caves in Azé, where the skull of a cave lion and an extraordinary concentration of a thousand cave bear skeleton have been unearth (5 km).
- The "Lamartine" tour, named for the poet who was born in the region: "O time, suspend your flight..." (whitin a radius of 25 km from Igé).
- Wine tour of the Mâconnais and Beaujolais (wine tastings with the wine makers of Pouilly Fuissé at Le Viré Clessé can be organised by the reception on request).
- Cycling tour on the 120 km track running through the Saône-et-Loire department (closest access at La Roche Vineuse, 8 km from Igé).
Many rambling circuits are open in the region.
The Mâcon La Salle golf course (18 holes) is located 12 km from Igé (telephone + 33 (0)3 85 36 09 71), and a swimming pool, also 12 km away.
Horse riding may be arranged 5 km from Igé,.

MOTORWAY FROM THE NORTH (from Paris or Chalon sur Saône):
Exit Motorway in Tournus number 27, go through Tournus and take National Road N6 direction Macon, after 15 km, at a round-about, turn right direction FLEURVILLE, take direction VIRE, PERONNE, AZE. Exit of Azé: turn right direction IGE.

MOTORWAY FROM GENEVE :
Exit Motorway MACON number 1, cross the bridge of the Saône following direction MACON, after the toll, go on direction MACON and follow the green sign "MOULIN - Toutes Directions", drive through Macon following green signs "Toutes directions", then at the round- about face to "Decathlon" store, follow the direction MOULINS (N79), after 10 KM exit PIERRECLOS, PRISSE, LA ROCHE VINEUSE number 4, and then turn left to go to LA ROCHE VINEUSE ; in the village LA ROCHE VINEUSE, pass the pharmacy and the bank on your right and then take the first road on the right in direction of VERZE.Then IGE

MOTORWAY FROM THE SOUTH (From LYON) :
Exit Motorway MACON SUD number 29.
Take direction N79, MOULINS, MONTCEAU-LES-MINES, CLUNY, after 10 KM exit PIERRECLOS, PRISSE, LA ROCHE VINEUSE number 4, and enter at left in the village LA ROCHE VINEUSE. Pass the pharmacy and the bank on your right and then take the first road on your right in direction of VERZE, then IGE.
